Firsts hit Agape for Six
Carryduff Colts 6 – 0 Agape
The Firsts got off to a flyer with a quick goal scored by the speedy McNally who was set up with a beautiful through-ball by the impressive C Magee who picked up where he left off last weekend.
After that though the Colts struggled to get to grips with the hard-working Agape team and the big Colts keeper Conor McCann had to be alert on several occasions before Carryduff struck the second on 26 minutes from a cross by Stevie Doc to the returning DA who had been out for 6 weeks injured.
On the stroke of half time Magee yet again involved crossed for DA to score his 2nd with a really good strike. 3-0 half time.
After some harsh words from the Coaches, the team started a lot better in the 2nd half and it was not long until Sean Irwin scored his goal after a good shot by Luke who looked impressive after moving to the left midfield berth. The King came on for Magee who deserved a break after tireless work in midfield and it was not long for King to find Holden with a super pass and Holden went on to score the 5th.
Then came the moment of the match when sub Murphy collected the ball on the half way line, he beats one, beats two, beats three players and then….forgot the ball, it was worth the entrance fee alone!!
King then played a lovely ball down the right to McNally who slotted his second and confirmed the 3 points.
We now move on to a very big game on the 27th at home to Queens Grads from 2A in the Cochrane Corry Cup – kick off 1.30.
Come along and lend your support and just a footnote, it was great to see a lot of the U19s there yesterday watching the game, cheers boys.
