Code of Conduct for Senior Players

Carryduff Colts is committed to maintaining the highest standards of respect, discipline, and sportsmanship. As senior players, you represent the club both on and off the pitch. It is essential to uphold the values of Carryduff Colts by demonstrating leadership, responsibility, and respect at all times.

As a senior player, you are expected to:

Lead by example and be a positive role model for younger player’s.
Show respect to teammates, coaches, referees, opponents, and supporters.
Commit to training and matches, arriving on time and prepared.
Take responsibility for your own kit and ensure you wear appropriate footwear and protective gear.
Maintain a high level of sportsmanship, playing fairly and avoiding cheating, diving, or gamesmanship.
Accept officials’ decisions without dissent or confrontation.
Refrain from using abusive language, racial/sectarian remarks, or any form of discrimination.
Avoid violent or dangerous play that could cause harm to others.
Be a supportive and encouraging teammate, avoiding unnecessary criticism or negative peer pressure.
Respect club equipment and facilities, ensuring they are well-maintained.
Report inappropriate behaviour or concerns to the coach or club officials.
Represent Carryduff Colts with pride, both on and off the field, including in public and on social media.

Senior Players Have the Right To:

Play football in a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment.
Be treated fairly and with dignity.
Enjoy the competitive nature of football while upholding the values of sportsmanship.
Seek guidance and support from coaches or club officials if needed.
Raise concerns regarding conduct, safety, or any other issue affecting their experience.

Disciplinary Action

Any breach of this Code of Conduct will be addressed by the coach and may be escalated to the club’s disciplinary panel. Serious or repeated violations may result in warnings, suspension, or expulsion from the club.
