A closely fought match with not much in it throughout the game. Both sides started well with Rosario pushing forward from the start. Solid defending by Carryduff back four, marshalled well by Luke Taylor, ensured Rosario chances were kept to a minimum. Half way through the first half Carryduff keeper, James Rogers, pulled off a fantastic save to ensure both teams went into the half scoreless.
Carryduff proved a more offensive team in the second half and probably edged the number of chances. Rory Thompson was always dangerous and supplied a number of fine passes which we were unable to convert. As the game progressed to a finish there was only ever one team in it, Carryduff. Last minute chances to Nathan McCarthy and Eoin Haigney were not converted and the game finished scoreless.
Thanks to Rosario for a sporting encounter, that’s Carryduff Colts 3 games on the bounce without a defeat and proving a very strong team to defeat.
